1. Introduction

Little Black Book App Ltd (SC655855) (“we”, “us”, “our” or “Little Black Book”) operates the Little Black Book platform at https://mylittleblackbook.app and related services (the “Platform”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Platform.

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Definitions

• Customer: A user who browses practitioners, books appointments, and/or uses the Platform to find and receive beauty and wellness services.
• Practitioner: A beauty or wellness professional who creates a business profile, lists services, and accepts bookings through the Platform.
• Prescriber: A user who subscribes to our Prescribes service to connect with qualified practitioners who can offer treatments (e.g. prescription skincare, aesthetic treatments).
• Appointment: A booked session between a Customer and a Practitioner for one or more services.
• Content: Any text, images, reviews, or other material you submit to the Platform.

3. Account Registration and Eligibility

3.1 General

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Customers

You may browse practitioners and book appointments without an account, but an account is required to save favourites, manage bookings, leave reviews, and access your profile and booking history.

3.3 Practitioners

Practitioners must complete onboarding, provide professional details, and connect a Stripe account to receive payments. We may verify qualifications and identity. Practitioners must hold valid insurance and comply with all applicable laws.

3.4 Prescribers

Prescribers subscribe to Prescribes (monthly or annual plan). Subscription is billed via Stripe and includes a 14-day free trial. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are subject to our refund policy.

4. Booking and Payments

4.1 How Booking Works

Customers select a practitioner, choose services, pick a date and time, and pay at the time of booking. Payment is processed via Stripe. A booking fee may apply (typically 3.5% or as set by the practitioner). The appointment is confirmed once payment is successful.

4.2 Prices and Fees

Service prices are set by practitioners. We do not charge customers a commission on bookings. Practitioners may set a booking fee percentage. All prices are in GBP unless otherwise stated and include VAT where applicable.

4.3 Tips

Customers may leave tips for practitioners. A 3.5% platform fee applies to tips. The remainder is transferred to the practitioner.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds for appointments are at the practitioner’s discretion. To cancel, you submit a cancellation request through the Platform. The practitioner will review and may approve a full refund, partial refund, or no refund. We do not guarantee refunds.

5. Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment, you may submit a cancellation request via your account. The practitioner will review and respond. Refund outcomes (full, partial, or none) are determined by the practitioner and their policies. Cancellation policies may vary by practitioner.

6. Practitioner Subscription (Little Black Book for Practitioners)

Practitioners may subscribe to access tools including: unlimited bookings, branded booking page, client management, automated reminders, analytics, and support. We offer a 14-day free trial. Subscription terms and pricing are set out on the practitioner landing page.

7. Prescribes Subscription

Prescribes is a subscription service (monthly or annual) that lets prescribers create a profile visible to qualified practitioners. Practitioners can find and contact prescribers. Subscription is billed via Stripe with a 14-day free trial. You may cancel at any time.

8. User Content and Conduct

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, profile information, etc.), but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it in connection with the Platform.

8.2 Prohibited Conduct

You must not: post false, misleading, or offensive content; impersonate others; harass or discriminate; use the Platform for illegal purposes; attempt to circumvent security; or interfere with the Platform’s operation.

8.3 Reviews

Reviews must be genuine and based on your experience. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms or our content guidelines.

9. Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy . This includes: account details; booking and payment information; communications; and usage data. We use this to provide the Platform, process payments, send reminders, and improve our services. You consent to data processing when you use the Platform.

Practitioners may collect additional information (e.g. medical or skin conditions) via intake forms. Such data is used for service provision and is subject to practitioner responsibilities and our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

The Platform is a booking and discovery service. We do not employ practitioners, provide treatments, or guarantee outcomes. The relationship between customers and practitioners is direct. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by practitioners.

The Platform is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special loss; loss of profit, data, or goodwill; and any claim arising from your use of the Platform or from services provided by practitioners. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

12. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or use our intellectual property without permission.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the Platform ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. liability, indemnity) will continue to apply.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Platform and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. The courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes, except where prohibited by law.
